Zero Tolerance Policy

Welland Soccer Club is a strong supporter of making sports safe for our youth.

It is the policy of the Welland Soccer Club to strive to protect its employees, board members,  volunteers, coaches, and players from intimidating, demeaning or abusive behavior that is  contrary to positive encounters or a healthy environment. As a result, action will be taken for any  abusive encounter not conducive to treating people with courtesy, dignity, and respect.

Any coach, team official, parent, grandparent or guardian judged by the Club to be guilty of  abusive conduct toward a game official, coach, team official, player, spectator, staff member or  director will be reprimanded in writing. A second offense, during the same season will result in  the member being restricted from all services rendered by the Club including attendance at all  soccer activities within the Club. In extraordinary cases, as determined by the Club, a member  may be reinstated subject to a review hearing.

Those who feel that they have been subjected to any abusive behavior or who witness behavior  they are uncomfortable dealing with directly, are requested to report the incident immediately to  any Board Member and are asked to include the location and detailed description of the incident  as well as the names of the individuals involved.

All incidents will be promptly investigated. Based upon the results, appropriate action may be  taken.
