Andrew Currie, originally from Woodstock, Ontario, serves as the Boys Competitive Manager at Welland Soccer Club. A dedicated fan of Tottenham Hotspur, Andrew admires the tenacity and skill of his favorite player, Andy Robertson. His passion for soccer was ignited at a young age, with one of his earliest and fondest memories being his team’s victory in the U13 Ontario Cup.
Andrew’s playing and coaching background is both extensive and impressive. As a youth player, he became a 2x Provincial Champion, and during his time at Niagara College, he was recognized as the OCAA West Defender of the Year and an OCAA First Team All-Star. Transitioning from player to coach, Andrew has accumulated over three years of coaching experience in the OCAA and more than a year coaching in League 1. His commitment to developing his coaching skills is evident as he holds a Concacaf C-Diploma.
Andrew’s dedication to the sport and his wealth of experience make him an invaluable asset to the Welland Soccer Club, where he is committed to fostering the growth and success of the boys’ competitive teams.
