At Welland Soccer Club, we stand firm on the foundation of “Fair Play,” which encompasses five basic principles:

- Maintain Self-Control: You are a role model; your behavior sets a standard for your team.
Your Role as a Wizards Academy Volunteer
As a vital part of our community, you’ll have the responsibility to:
- Model Sportsmanship: Demonstrate respect for instructors, coaches, officials, players, and opposing teams.
- Ensure Equal Playtime: Facilitate an inclusive environment where all players are valued equally.
- Uphold the Integrity of the Game: Approach officials with respect and seek clarity on game rules in a dignified manner.
- Focus on Enjoyable Competition: Implement strategies to keep the game enjoyable for all, avoiding lopsided scores.
- Foster a Fun Atmosphere: Encourage a love for the game, emphasizing enjoyment over competition.
- Adhere to the ‘Rule of Two’: Ensure all interactions with players are within view and earshot of another adult, prioritizing player safety.
