Matthew Vadacchino, a proud native of Welland, ON, plays a vital role at Welland Soccer Club as the Player Development Manager, League Convenor, and Head Coach of the U8 Girls team. A lifelong Manchester United supporter, Matthew looks up to Kobbie Mainoo as his favorite player, admiring his skill and potential. Matthew’s love for soccer began early, with one of his first memories being the excitement of scoring a penalty in Timbits soccer.
Matthew has built a strong foundation in both playing and coaching. He has played in the NSL for Welland, competed at the Regional Level with NRSP for 4-5 years, and has experience at the Premier level with Welland. Currently, he is showcasing his talent at the collegiate level, playing in the OCAA for Niagara College. In addition to his playing career, Matthew also dedicates his time to coaching, leading the U8 Girls team in Welland.
Beyond his soccer expertise, Matthew enjoys a bit of friendly competition off the field, proudly claiming to be faster than Michael Serianni. His passion for the game, combined with his experience and commitment to player development, makes him an integral part of the Welland Soccer Club team.
