Tom Muir
General Manager

As General Manager, Tom Muir oversees the day-to-day operations of the Welland Soccer Club, ensuring the organization runs efficiently while delivering high-quality programs for its members. He provides leadership across staffing, financial management, and operational planning, including oversight of budgets, registrations, facility rentals, and referee and staff payments. Tom plays a key role in sponsorship and fundraising initiatives, helping support the club’s long-term sustainability and growth. He also ensures smooth execution of leagues, tournaments, and programming while maintaining clear, consistent communication with members, families, and community partners. Through this role, Tom helps translate the club’s strategic vision into well-run, positive experiences on and off the field.

Mike Frank
Club Development Coordinator

As Club Development Coordinator, Mike Frank plays a central role in strengthening the operational, administrative, and communication systems of the Welland Soccer Club. He focuses on building efficient internal processes, maintaining club policies and governance documents, and supporting staff and volunteers to ensure programs are delivered consistently and professionally. Mike also provides technical and administrative support, manages incident and complaint documentation, and helps maintain the club’s digital platforms, including the website and communication systems. In addition, he supports program planning and on-site operations during key activities and seasonal transitions, helping ensure continuity and a positive experience across all recreational, competitive, and development programs.

Stephane Emard
Technical Director

As Technical Director / Player Development, Stephane Emard leads the technical vision of the Welland Soccer Club and ensures players of all ages receive high-quality, development-focused training. He oversees the club’s player development pathway and supports coaches in delivering training environments that align with the club’s philosophy and long-term goals. Stephane provides technical leadership for the iModel high-performance competitive stream and leads the Wizard Academy training program, focusing on skill development, player engagement, and consistent coaching standards. Through content creation, coach support, and ongoing evaluation of programs, he plays a key role in elevating the club’s technical standards and player development experience.

Frank DeChellis
Coach Development Coordinator

As Coach Development Coordinator, Frank DeChellis plays a key role in elevating the quality, confidence, and consistency of coaching across all Welland Soccer Club programs. He leads the design and delivery of a structured coach development framework, providing mentorship, practical resources, and ongoing support for coaches at both grassroots and competitive levels. Frank works closely with coaches to foster collaboration, share best practices, and ensure coaching environments align with the club’s long-term vision and player development philosophy. Through content creation, on-field support, and clear communication, he helps promote a positive, inclusive, and development-focused coaching culture throughout the club.

Melissa Heil
Office Administrator

As Office Administrator, Melissa Heil plays a central role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Welland Soccer Club and serves as a key point of contact for members, staff, and volunteers. She manages member communications, including the club’s general email inbox, and provides clear, timely support related to registrations, schedules, programs, and policies. Melissa oversees registration records through the PowerUp Sports platform and assists families with account and program-related questions. She also maintains a strong on-site presence at the Youngs Sportsplex during peak activity times, supporting coaches, convenors, and families while helping ensure smooth operations. Through her organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail, Melissa helps keep club activities running efficiently throughout the season.

Tony Maddalena
Referee Development Coordinator

As Head Referee and Referee Development Coordinator, Tony Maddalena oversees all referee operations for the Welland Soccer Club, ensuring games are properly staffed and officials feel supported both on and off the field. He coordinates referee scheduling across house league, competitive matches, tournaments, and special events, while maintaining clear communication around expectations and availability. A strong advocate for mentorship, Tony works closely with young and developing referees to build confidence, improve decision-making, and foster a positive officiating culture. Through training support, on-field guidance, and collaboration with club leadership, he helps uphold consistent officiating standards and promotes respect for referees across all club programs.

Matthew Vadacchino
Club Convenor

As Club Convenor, Matthew Vadacchino plays an essential role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of Welland Soccer Club programs and ensuring game-day operations run smoothly. He works closely with coaches, referees, and club staff to address on-field issues, provide guidance, and help resolve concerns in a fair and consistent manner. Matthew serves as a key point of contact during club activities, helping maintain organization, communication, and a positive environment for players and families. Through his presence and leadership, he helps ensure that club standards, policies, and values are upheld across all programs.

Noah Dimaurizio
Goalkeeper Coach / Club Convenor

As Club Convenor and Goalkeeper Coach, Noah Dimaurizio plays a dual role in supporting both the operational and technical aspects of the Welland Soccer Club. As a convenor, he helps ensure smooth game-day operations, working closely with coaches, referees, and staff to address issues and uphold club standards. In his role as Goalkeeper Coach, Noah provides specialized training and guidance to goalkeepers across the club, focusing on skill development, confidence, and proper technique.
